Our Programs
Silver Pines P.S. supports student learning through the curriculum standards set out by the Ontario Ministry of Education and many other co-curricular activities.
A focus on student leadership, equity and inclusion: Students are involved in leadership and volunteering opportunities throughout the school e.g., monitors, peer buddy program, student leadership committee, library helpers, and morning announcements. Students have the opportunity to participate in various leadership workshops and conferences that support our equity vision including the “together we’re better” conference and the “peace tree” conference.
A focus on athletics: Students are involved in a variety of intra-mural sports activities including “girls on the run.” Students also have the opportunity of trying out for our school basketball team, volleyball team, track and field, and many more.
A focus on the Arts: Musical, dramatic and artistic skills are enhanced through student involvement in instrumental band, ensembles, choir, drama and art club.
